Shanese's career as a Cosmetic Chemist is fortified with several credentials, which include a Diploma in Organic Skincare Formulation (Formula Botanica, Sept. 2017), Diploma of Personal Care Formulation (Institute of Personal Care Science, Aug. 2023), and a Master of Science in Cosmetic Science (University of Cincinnati, Dec. 2023).

In addition, she maintains an ISO certified laboratory with over 1000 ingredients where she formulates customized skincare products, including her product lines for Alluvium.

Shanese is eager to share her love of science, skincare and wellness with others through maker parties, individualized formulations, and as a scientific educator.  In this capacity, Shanese developed  a cosmetic formulation course for adolescent students in collaboration with The Cool Kidz Club, Inc.™, and Girls A.R.E & Boys C.A.N. and a cosmetic formulation course for Licensed Cosmetologists and Estheticians
